Art buffs won’t want to miss the chance to explore the annual Museums Free-for-All day on Jan 28. Museums throughout California will be opening their doors for free to the public. This is a great opportunity to visit your favorite museums. With exhibits ranging from art, cultural heritage, natural history and science, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! One museum participating is GRAMMY Museum. It’s known for their Michael Jackson exhibit that showcases his trademark sequin gloves and jacket. And the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County will be opening their doors with their Art of the Jewel: The Crevoshay Collection exhibit. In this exhibit, gaze upon the masterpieces that jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay has designed. Don’t feel limited to visit the museums on this list. The Museums Free-for-All team encourages visitors to go metro and see other local museums as well!

More About the Skirball Cultural Center

For a truly unique and memorable experience visit the Skirball Cultural Center for Museums on Free-for-All day. It’s home to Noah’s Ark, an interactive playground where children have fun learning about animals. Kids can climb the rafters and see unusual animals, like a crocodile with a violin case for a head! Looking for something adult-friendly? Check out their rich and entertaining exhibit on Associate Justice of the Supreme Court member Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  It’s centered around her life story (which is being turned into a blockbuster movie – RBG). The Center is also home to the Visions and Values exhibit. This which displays the history, traditions and lives of the Jewish community in America.
