Halloween Horror Nights bring some of your favorite and most feared horror movies to life via mazes, haunted houses and other immersive experiences. Yep, it’s as scary as it sounds. Horror lovers, keep reading…if you dare.

What is ‘Halloween Horror Nights’

On select nights now through Nov 3, Universal Studios transforms into a world filled with screams, monsters, clowns and more. Visitors have the chance to experience some of the most haunting moments in film and television history through 10 (new this year) spine-chilling mazes. This year, Universal also has five scare zones, populated with terrifying creatures awaiting your arrival. Halloween Horror Nights are open select nights (mainly weekends) from 7 p.m. – 2 a.m. Here’s the calendar of available dates. General admission to Halloween Horror Nights ranges from $67 to $102.

Grab Your Leg Warmers

Visit Halloween Horror Nights on a Thursday for a special Throwback Thursday experience. On Thursday nights only, Universal pays homage to the ‘80s with features of ‘80s horror films and music. Scareactors and live bands will provide the entertainment for the night. Costumes are encouraged.

Here’s a couple tidbits worth knowing before you arrive at Halloween Horror Nights:

  • Purchase tickets ahead of time online, they usually sell out fast
  • Download the Universal Studios Hollywood app for wait times and show times (this is great even if you’re not going to Halloween Horror Nights)
  • Purchase the R.I.P. Tour or express tickets for quicker access to each maze and show
  • Treat the scareactors nicely

Other Happenings at Universal Studios

If scary isn’t quite your style, don’t worry – there’s still plenty of other events worth visiting at Universal Studios.
